Initiated by Toit et Joie - Poste Habitat, in partnership with 1001 Vies Habitat and the Espace Nelson Mandela, ABOUT A WORKER guided both children and adults from Saint-Michel-sur-Orge in transforming old La Poste uniforms through a series of upcycling workshops. From this collective experience emerged a unique collection of 20 outfits, crafted from reimagined postal garments.

UPCYCLING WORKSHOP

Over five sessions at the Nelson Mandela Community Center, around twenty participants explored the art of upcycling. Thanks to old postal uniforms provided by the Musée Postal and residents of the Poste Habitat housing, they learned to sew, design, and reimagine these pieces to create expressive clothing.

The participants didn’t stop at creating a clothing collection! They also learned how to walk the runway with the guidance of coach Kadidja Touré and proudly showcased their beautiful creations under the spotlights at Musée Postal during a fashion show organized for La Nuit des Musées event.
