THE SAINT-DENIS COLLECTION
To design and produce the Saint-Denis collection, About a Worker cooperated with an insertion factory called Mode Estime located in Saint-Denis, a suburban area of Paris.
About a Worker especially collaborated with four of their best talents: Fadila Boubekeur, Aissatou Gakou, Kira Ghoul, Misbahou Yssouf. They happened to all come from different cultural and social background which brought them to work in the French production industry.
Through this collection About a Worker showcased a new vision of a made in France product. It was the first time these workers felt free to tell their inner stories within a French context.
MODE ESTIME is a "insertion garment factory" producing for young designers and companies looking to create promotional items for their business. MODE ESTIME particularity employs people in social or physical difficulties in order to help them gain a growing career within the clothing production industry.
MADE IN FRANCE
For the Saint-Denis collection, About a Worker produced a fashion line 100% MADE IN FRANCE: from the labels to the final fabrics, passing by its manufacture.
