During the Atelier Birkenstock pop-up store in Paris, we hosted a special upcycling workshop as part of the closing-party festivities. The event brought together a vibrant community of creatives, brand lovers, and curious passers-by who were eager to explore sustainable craftsmanship in a hands-on way. The atmosphere was energetic and inspiring, and by the end of the evening, more than 150 people had joined the workshop !

Participants were invited to select from a wide assortment of Birkenstock components that ABOUT A WORKER had carefully prepared and cut in advance. Laid out across the tables were shapes of every kind and colors ranging from bold brights to soft neutrals, offering endless creative possibilities. Each guest could mix, match, and assemble these elements to craft a personalized charm—turning leftover materials into unique, wearable pieces. The display itself became a source of inspiration, sparking conversations, experimentation, and a joyful sense of discovery.
