EAU & GAZ RESIDENCY : KIDS WORKSHOP

Teaching 15 kids how to sew

Last summer, we were invited by the Eau and Gaz Residency in Eppan — a small town near Bolzano — to host a workshop for 15 children aged 7 to 16. The main goal was to teach them how to use a sewing machine in just a week. For many of them, it was their very first time touching one.

Throughout the week, the participants were encouraged to design and create four projects: a collective artwork, a kite, a rain poncho, and a tote bag. To make sewing and cutting easier, we worked with construction and parachute fabrics dead stocks.

On the last day of the workshop, we organized a small outdoor fashion show in front of the residency, where the parents could admire their children’s creations.
